Loving God, may we experience your presence
among us as the God of peace,
as healer, as comforter and as One who desires and calls your church
to be a sanctuary for those whose lives are affected by abuse.
Show us the path to be a caring church and fill us with your healing power.
This is our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ who knows the pain of violence. Amen.
